Q1 - 2006 Summary
In spite
of reports elsewhere in the country about the real estate market taking another
hit this year, the Harbor Springs area is holding steady. Volumes sold, in both
units and dollars, are either equal or better than last year at this time, with
the exception of vacant land outside of Birchwood. Within Birchwood, both lot
and home sales are up.
Sales
which are not reported in the MLS include for sale by owners and transfers
within families. All sales involving licensed realtors “should” be included in
the MLS numbers.
